WISHES FROM THE SEA CHRISTMAS TREE 2009
 |
SEA once again had a special Christmas tree in St Nicholas and St Faith church display of trees decorated by different groups in the town.
Ambika made us a wonderful tree from plastic bags, and people were encouraged to write wishes for the Environment and hang them on the tree.
|
25 wishes were hung on the tree.
- 7 wished for recycling to be increased – including 2 hopefuls who wished for chocolate to be recycled!
- 3 wished for no more animals to be killed.
- 1 wished that no more animals’ habitat should be destroyed.
- 1 wished for world peace.
- 3 wished for no more plastic bags.
- 3 wished for less litter.
- 1 wished for no more pollution.
- 3 wished for Saltash to lead the way as an environmental and caring community.
- 1 wished for less oil dependency.
- 1 wished for a place for everyone in the world.
Thank you to everyone who came and saw the trees and made a wish.
